By downloading, installing, or using OpenPawz ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. OpenPawz is open source software released under the MIT License.

2. License

OpenPawz is licensed under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the Software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License.

3. The Software

OpenPawz is provided as a native desktop application that runs locally on your hardware. It is designed to operate offline and does not require an account, subscription, or cloud service to function. The Software is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

4. Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

  • Your use of the Software and any actions taken by AI agents you configure
  • Any API keys, credentials, or access tokens you provide to the Software
  • Compliance with the terms of service of any third-party providers you connect (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Ollama)
  • Any data, content, or outputs generated through your use of the Software
  • Ensuring your use complies with applicable local laws and regulations

5. Third-Party Services

OpenPawz can connect to third-party LLM providers, MCP integrations, and community packages at your discretion. These services are governed by their own terms of service and privacy policies. OpenPawz is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of any third-party service.

6. Community Contributions

Contributions to OpenPawz (code, documentation, skills, community packages) are subject to the MIT License. By submitting a contribution, you confirm that you have the right to license it under the MIT License and agree to do so.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenPawz and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
